Abstract

This article focuses on the complicated interactions between climate change and the lives of people in and near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Specifically, it explores how climate change threatens the health of urban residents and one of the last pastoral nomadic groups on Earth.

Munkhbileg Batmunkh is a master’s degree candidate in International Relations at Shanghai University. His research focuses on the history of the energy sector including energy security and sustainability in Northeast Asian countries.
