Author Biography
Luigi Piccioni (1959) is a research fellow in the economics, statistics, and finance department of the University of Calabria. His fields of interest are the economic history of the Mediterranean in the modern age and the history of environmental movements, cultures, and institutions. He has been editor of the journals Meridiana and I frutti di Demetra and is currently on the scientific committee of the series Le aree naturali protette.
